Coast Line CU is proud to play a part in the continuing education of the youth in our community. The Board of Directors of Coast Line believes that supporting education is an effective way to ensure the future strength of our community, as well as support the aspirations of our youth. So, we're offering two $1,000 scholarships to graduating High School Seniors pursuing college or other post-secondary schools!

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants and/or parents must be Members of Coast Line Credit Union.
  • Applicants must plan to attend and have been accepted to an accredited two year community college, four year college/university, or vocational school.
  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
  • Studies must begin within a year.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed Scholarship Application
  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation from the following:
    • Teachers
    • Guidance Counselors
    • Community Leaders
  • Essay to consist of the following:
    • 300-500 words (typed) on one of the following topics:
      • Topic 1:
        • The field of study you are pursuing
        • Your reason for selecting this field
        • Why you chose this school
        • What you hope to do with your education
      • Topic 2
        • A person who has influenced you (the student), and why.

High School Seniors must also submit a copy of their Acceptance Letter from their college/university or vocational school choice.

Applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by Coast Line Credit Union Scholarship Committee. The completed application, along with all supporting documentation, must be returned no later than July 1st to:
